How Much Hair Do I Need?
For a traditional sew-in weave, we recommend buying 2 bundles of hair for lengths 14”-18”. We recommend 3 bundles for lengths 20″ or longer. We recommend 4+ bundles for lengths 26″ or longer. Each bundles weighs 3.5 ounces. Hair is sold by total weight. The rule is: “The longer the hair, the shorter the weft.” Our RAW hair tends to be fuller than our Virgin hair, requiring less bundles per install
Can I Color This Hair?
This is 100% RAW & Virgin human hair that has not been processed in anyway. You can color the hair, however once RAW & Virgin hair is treated in any way, it is no longer virgin. Be sure to keep color treated hair conditioned and moisturized.
How Long Does This Hair Last?
Raw/ Virgin hair is an investment and you should treat it as such. Virgin hair can last 6 months to 1 year with proper care. RAW hair can last 1-3 years with proper care. Clients generally use the hair for 6 to 12 months due to styling/cutting preferences.
Upon Receipt Of Hair
Prior to the installation of your hair extensions, for extra protection of your weft, we recommend you seal your weft! It will eliminate shedding and add longevity to your investment.
Next, you should to co-wash the hair (This is highly recommended for ALL 100% RAW Virgin Hair.)
Instructions for RAW Virgin Hair
Our hair is 100% RAW Virgin Hair and must be co-washed (washing hair with a moisturizing conditioner) in order to transform the hair from its raw state to beautiful hair that’s ready to install. Co-Wash the hair BEFORE you make changes to the hair (color, perm, etc.).
Step 1.) Co-Wash the Hair
Step 2.) Rinse thoroughly with cold water
Step 3.) Scrunch up hair gently to reform curls.
Step 4.) Air Dry
Step 5.) Install
Maintenance Instructions For All Textures
Use a shampoo no higher than pH7
Do NOT massage
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water, not hot
Apply conditioner & comb through with a wide tooth comb, starting with the ends working your way up to your scalp
Rinse thoroughly
Let air dry
Daily Maintenance
AVOID ALCOHOL BASED PRODUCTS TO AVOID DRYING OUT YOUR INVESTMENT!
Use styling products MINIMALLY to avoid build up.
For Wavy & Curly hair use a spray bottle of water to refreshen your natural look.
For a “WET” look use a spray bottle of water with a leave in conditioner. Add a few drops of your favorite oil for a little shine.
Dampen hair with a water bottle
Comb through (wide tooth comb) beginning at the ends and working your way up to your scalp
Scrunch up hair gently to reform curls/waves
Let air dry
Style as desired
**Pro Tips: While minimal shedding is normal, there are steps that you can take to protect the longevity of your investment and prevent shedding. Prior to the installation of your hair extensions, for extra protection of your weft, we encourage WEFT SEALING with a sealant. Never sew through the top of your weft. Putting a needle through the weft will damage the weft and cause shedding. To ensure that your wefts are kept in good condition, we recommend sewing around the weft.
